Getting started

What is MyClippingViews, in one sentence?

A view and earnings tracker for clippers: you connect your TikTok, Instagram and YouTube accounts, the app finds your clips and tells you what they earned in the campaign you joined.

Do I need a code to use it?

To get paid, yes: earnings are computed from a campaign's payout grid, and you join a campaign with the code its manager shares. Without a code, the app still tracks the views of your own clips.

Can I take part in several campaigns?

Yes, as many as you like. Each campaign has its own date window and grid; the app keeps the totals separate, with an overall total on top.

Do I have to install anything?

On Android, the app is on Google Play. On iPhone and desktop, the web app runs in the browser with nothing to install — and "Add to Home Screen" gives it its own icon. A native iOS app will come later.

Accounts and security

Do you see my password?

No, never. Sign-in happens on the platform's official page (tiktok.com, instagram.com, google.com). It checks your password and hands us back only a limited access token. Full details here.

Can the app post or comment on my behalf?

No — and that's not just a promise: the access we request is technically read-only. The token cannot post, comment, like, follow, edit or delete anything.

Could connecting my account get it banned?

No. We go through each platform's official API, with an application the platforms themselves have reviewed and approved. This is the intended, supported way for a third-party tool to read statistics.

Why does Instagram require a Business or Creator account?

Because Instagram's official API only exposes statistics for those accounts. It's a free setting inside the Instagram app, and it requires neither a Facebook Page nor a Facebook account.

How do I cut off access?

Two independent routes: disconnect the account in the app (its token is deleted immediately), or revoke MyClippingViews from the platform's own settings. The exact locations are listed on the Security page.

Views and earnings

How often are my views updated?

Automatically, several times a day, without you refreshing anything — and more often on a clip that is climbing than on one that stopped moving. The app shows the next refresh time on each campaign, so you never have to wonder whether the number is fresh.

Why is the number different from TikTok / Instagram / YouTube?

We show what the official API returns, and it has its own latency and rounding. The gap closes at the next reading. What matters: it's the same number for you and for your manager, so never a disagreement about what is owed.

How are my earnings computed?

From the campaign's payout grid applied to tracked views: a rate per 1,000 views, possibly tiers, a per-platform multiplier, a viral bonus, a threshold, a budget cap. It's all laid out — with a worked example — on the How it works page.

What happens if I delete a clip or make it private?

Its views stop climbing, since the platform no longer returns them. What was already counted stays earned — unless the clip became unreachable before being read, in which case the entry is reversed.

Can my manager exclude one of my clips?

Yes, if it's off-brief: the clip stops being paid while staying visible with its views. A clipper cannot undo an exclusion decided by their manager.

Are you the ones paying me?

No. Your manager pays you, by whatever means you agreed on. MyClippingViews computes and tracks what is owed and what has been paid — the money never passes through us.

Managers

How do I get manager access?

Write to contact@myclippingviews.com describing your campaign. Access is opened campaign by campaign. What the dashboard contains.

Can several of us manage one campaign?

Yes: co-managers get the same view and the same actions, each with their own account.

Can I cap what I spend?

Yes — a global budget, per clipper, or per clip, alone or combined. The dashboard shows a consumption gauge.

Account and data

Where is my data hosted?

On managed infrastructure in the European Union, encrypted in transit and at rest, with per-user isolation at the database level. Details are in the privacy policy.

How do I delete my account?

From the app's settings, in seconds, or by email. Associated data is erased within 30 days — the procedure is on the Data Deletion page.

Do you sell my data?

No. No selling, no sharing for advertising purposes. We read the public statistics of your own videos to compute your earnings, and nothing else.
